These beautiful images from Linum's new autumn/winter 2016 collection arrived in my mailbox a few days ago. Muted couleurs, dark wood and a certain art deco influence prevail.

Ces belles images de la nouvelle collection automne/hiver 2016 de Linum sont arrivées dans ma boite mail il y a quelques jours. Des couleurs grisées, du bois foncé et une certaine influence art déco dominent.

Artilleriet is a fantastic interior design shop located on the Swedish west coast, in Gothenburg. In order to celebrate 5 years of existence, they just opened Artilleriet Studio, a whole apartment decorated with the most perfect mix of old and new. The exhibition is open until 29th of October so don't miss out if ever you're visiting Gothenburg before that. And if not, here are some beautiful pictures to be inspired by, shot by Johanna Bradford (and you'll find a few more on her blog). Love the rugs, the dark walls, the brass desk, the picture wall and the velvet chairs!

If you haven't had enough of brass yet (I haven't!), here's a nice and simple idea for making your own bed headboard. Choose a large brass sheet that is slightly wider than the bed, then match with trendy muted pastels (like the green shade on the wall here) and soft textiles in linen and wool to add warmth. Si vous en avez pas encore assez du laiton (moi non!), voici une idée simple pour fabriquer une jolie tête-de-lit. On choisit une grande tôle en laiton un peu plus large que le lit, puis on l'associe à une palette tendance de pastels grisées (comme cette nuance de vert sur le mur) et des textiles douces en lin et laine pour apporter de la chaleur. More and more furniture brands are launching their own accessories collections these days, and I'm happy to see that also a traditional brand like Fritz Hansen is following that trend. During the Milano fair next week Fritz Hansen will be presenting a collection of 12 objects for the home, designed by Danish and international designers like Jaime Hayon, Studio Roso and Wednesday Architecture. A nice way of perpetuating the Danish tradition of beautiful timeless design and high quality craftsmanship.

As you probably have noticed already, colours are coming strong in Scandinavian interiors right now. The traditional white walls are more and more often painted in muted shades of green, blue, pink, grey and beige. I have a soft spot for the colour green, which gives any room a fresh and calm atmosphere while connecting with the outdoor nature.

What do you do when you can't find the piece of furniture you need? You design it yourself of course! This is exactly what the talented Riikka Kantinkoski and Pinja Rouger did when they were running out of space for their plants. Their beautiful Botanic shelf is a multifunctional storage solution for green plants and other objects. Consisting of an oak frame and brass sheet shelves in various sizes, the shelf combines simplicity, modernity and timeless design. Read more on their blogs Weekday Carnival and Pinjacolada.

I love the simplicity and the soft colours in these pictures from the home of Maria Worsaae, one of the founders of Aiayu. Aiayu is a Danish brand with a gorgeous lifestyle collection that you can see more of here.
