If you haven't had enough of brass yet (I haven't!), here's a nice and simple idea for making your own bed headboard. Choose a large brass sheet that is slightly wider than the bed, then match with trendy muted pastels (like the green shade on the wall here) and soft textiles in linen and wool to add warmth. Si vous en avez pas encore assez du laiton (moi non!), voici une idée simple pour fabriquer une jolie tête-de-lit. On choisit une grande tôle en laiton un peu plus large que le lit, puis on l'associe à une palette tendance de pastels grisées (comme cette nuance de vert sur le mur) et des textiles douces en lin et laine pour apporter de la chaleur. More and more furniture brands are launching their own accessories collections these days, and I'm happy to see that also a traditional brand like Fritz Hansen is following that trend. During the Milano fair next week Fritz Hansen will be presenting a collection of 12 objects for the home, designed by Danish and international designers like Jaime Hayon, Studio Roso and Wednesday Architecture. A nice way of perpetuating the Danish tradition of beautiful timeless design and high quality craftsmanship.

Terrazzo has slowly come to replace marble as one of the most trending materials right now. This composite material, consisting of marble, quartz, granite or glass chips sprinkled on cement, has traditionally been used as floor and wall treatment mainly. Today, you'll find it on anything from furniture to accessories and its distinctive pattern can also be seen printed on textile or paper.
