The first stop on our recent Amsterdam blog tour was at the amazing showroom of Moooi. Moooi was founded in 2001 by designer Marcel Wanders and marketing specialist Casper Vissers with the goal to make interiors more beautiful, exciting and inspiring. The name Moooi comes from the Dutch word for beautiful, with an extra 'o' added, as in extra value in terms of beauty and uniqueness.
This is one of the latest additions to the Moooi range: the stunning Prop Light designed by Bertjan Pot (who is also the designer behind the bestselling Random Light). Besides being particularly beautiful, the prop light is an extremely flexible lighting solution which you can hang on the wall, down from the ceiling or even put on the floor.
Voici l'une des dernières nouveautés dans l'assortiment Moooi: le superbe Prop Light créé par Bertjan Pot (qui est aussi le designer derrière le bestseller Random Light). A part sa beauté, le Prop Light est aussi un luminaire extrêmement flexible qui peut être accroché au mur, suspendu du plafond ou même placé au sol.

Le premier stop sur notre récent blog tour à Amsterdam a eu lieu dans le fantastique showroom de Moooi. Moooi a été fondé en 2001 par le designer Marcel Wanders et le spécialiste marketing Casper Vissers, dans le but de rendre nos intérieurs plus jolis, excitants et inspirants. Le nom Moooi vient du mot joli en néerlandais, avec un 'o' supplémentaire pour davantage de beauté et singularité.
And their showroom really was something extra! I love visiting brands/shops who go that extra mile in order to offer something unique and unexpected, both when it comes to product design and store settings. Obvisouly, Marcel Wanders creative design is very much present in the showroom, but you also find the work of other designers there such as Jurgen Bey, Bertjan Pot, Maarten Baas, Jaime Hayon, Neri & Hu, Joost van Bleiswijk, Studio Job and Nika Zupanc.
Et leur showroom était vraiment unique et singulier! J'adore visiter des marques/showrooms qui vont un peu plus loin pour offrir quelque chose d'inattendu, aussi bien au niveau du design des produit que dans la mise en scène. Bien évidemment, le design créatif de Marcel Wanders était bien présent dans le showroom, mais on a aussi pu voir le travail d'autres designers tels que Jurgen Bey, Bertjan Pot, Maarten Baas, Jaime Hayon, Neri & Hu, Joost van Bleiswijk, Studio Job et Nika Zupanc.
Moooi offers a joyful mix of colours and patterns, including iconic pieces of lighting, furniture and accessories. I honestly think most people would find something for their home here, independant of age, culture and personality.
Moooi propose un joyeux mélange de couleurs et motifs, y compris des pièces iconiques de luminaire, mobilier et accessoires. Je pense sincèrement que la plupart des gens pourraient trouver quelque chose pour leur maison ici, peu importe leur âge, culture et personnalité.

The Egg vase is one of the most iconic pieces of Moooi's collection, designed by Marcel himself (click on the link to read more about the slightly peculiar way the form of the vase was created ;) ). Moooi had us do a fun workshop where each one of us customized the vase for somebody else in the group...
Le vase Egg est l'un des produits les plus iconiques de la collection Moooi, design par Marcel lui-même (cliquer sur le lien pour connaitre la façon un peu particulière dont la forme du vase a été créée ;) ). Moooi nous a proposé un atelier amusant où chacun d'entre nous a personnalisé le vase pour une autre personne du groupe...
