As you might know, the winter session 2016 of Maison&Objet took place in Paris a few days ago and as usual, I spent a full day crisscrossing the fair in order to discover as many news as possible and detect the trends for 2016. Of course I will also share the highlights with you, so to start with, here is my top three of the stands that made my heart beat a little faster! Comme vous le savez peut-être, la session d'hiver 2016 de Maison&Objet a eu lieu à Paris il y a quelques jours et comme d'habitude,...

The scarce winter sunlight gives this newly built semi-detached house an almost magic atmosphere. I love how all rooms open up to the surrounding nature through large floor-to-ceiling windows. You'll also notice that there are no white walls or ceilings here! Instead, light wood and soft hues of grey, sand and green add warmth to the space. More photos on the real estate agency's website. Now I'm off to Maison&Objet so do come back later this week for an update on what I discovered there. Meanwhile, I wish you all a great week! Le rares rayons de soleil d'hiver...

I love everything about Krickelin's dining room: the beautiful gallery wall, that perfect dark blue shade on the door, the large concrete table, the mix of wooden chairs and the airy and contemporary pendant lamp. The kind of personal, timeless and authentic interior that we will hopefully see a lot more of in 2016. Click here to see more photos from Kristin's home. J'adore tout dans la salle à manger de Krickelin: la jolie galerie d'art au mur, la parfaite nuance de bleu sur la porte, la grande table en béton, le mélange de chaises en bois et la suspension aérée...

Graphic and contrasting black&white has been a distinctive feature of the Scandinavian style for a long time... but not in 2016! Instead, the tone-on-tone is one of the strongest trends of the year. Here's how to do it. Les contrastes graphiques en noir&blanc caractérisent depuis longtemps le style scandinave... mais pas en 2016! La déco ton-sur-ton est l'une des tendances fortes de l'année. Voilà comment s'y prendre. Photo IKEA Livet hemma Grey is the easiest colour to use for a tone-on-tone decoration. Go for different shades of grey on walls, flooring, couch, cushions and throw like in the...

When I style or create a still life, I like adding something unexpected and personal. It can be an item brought back from a trip, a gift someone once gave me or just something quirky I found in a flea market. The important is to give it all a little twist. The owners of this home in Göteborg have added several odd and original details to their interior. Although the space is a little too cluttered for my own taste, I still find it refreshing to see and hopefully you can also find something inspiring to take with...

First of all, I wish you all the best for this new year! I decided to sign off as much as possible during the holidays, which did me a lot of good. 2015 wasn't the best year in many areas, both from a personal perspective and on a more general note (I'm first of all thinking of the Paris attacks...). Now I'm determined to at least do my part in order to make 2016 a better one! 'Breathe in, breathe out, one step at a time' is my mantra for 2016 :) D'abord, je vous souhaite tout le...
