I wondered if anyone could help me with a diy question that's been puzzling me for a while...
I've noticed that in Scandinavia it's very common to see pendant lights hanging from a hook on the ceiling with the wire hanging loose between the hook and the light fixture (as in the first picture here). You never see this in the UK, and people seem to think it's dangerous. Is there a special fitting you can buy which distributes the weight of the light across the wire? Any advice much appreciated!!
