Maison&Objet 2016 #1 - Three favourite stands

As you might know, the winter session 2016 of Maison&Objet took place in Paris a few days ago and as usual, I spent a full day crisscrossing the fair in order to discover as many news as possible and detect the trends for 2016.
Of course I will also share the highlights with you, so to start with, here is my top three of the stands that made my heart beat a little faster!

Comme vous le savez peut-être, la session d'hiver 2016 de Maison&Objet a eu lieu à Paris il y a quelques jours et comme d'habitude, j'ai passé une journée complète à sillonner le salon pour essayer de découvrir un maximum de nouvautés et repérer les tendances pour 2016.
Bien évidemment, je vais aussi partager le meilleur avec vous, alors pour commencer, voici mon top trois des stands qui ont fait battre mon coeur un peu plus vite!

PINCH

Pinch is an award winning British brand founded 2004 by husband and wife team Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon. Their decluttered stand, entirely covered in white tiles and filled with simple yet unique design, was a true breath of fresh air on the fair. The amazing table above is made of jesmonite, a composite material. I also liked the green cabinet with wooden drawers, the pendant lighting made of banana fibre, the elegant chaise longue...

Fondée en 2004 et plusieurs fois primée, Pinch est une marque britannique crée par le couple Russell Pinch et Oona Bannon. Leur stand épuré, entièrement couvert de carrelage blanc et rempli de produits au design simple et unique, était une vraie bouffée d'air frais sur le salon. La magnifique table ci-dessus est fabriquée en jesmonite, un matériau composite. J'ai aussi aimé l'armoire verte avec ses tiroirs en bois, la suspension en fibre de bananier, l'élegante méridienne...

KRISTINA DAM

I'm a big fan of Kristina Dam's work (see my reports from previous sessions of M&O here and here). This talented Danish architect and graphic designer offers a creative design with a distinct Scandinavian expression in beautiful materials like oak, marble, brass, leather and steel. The range includes furniture, accessories, sculptures and prints. Among the spring news, I loved the leather/wood daybed, the metal trolley, the mirror/marble sculpture...

Je suis une grande fan du travail de Kristina Dam (voir mes billets sur les précédentes sessions de M&O ici et ici). Cette talentueuse architecte et graphiste danoise propose un design créatif à l'expression résolument scandinave dans de beaux matériaux comme le chêne, le marbre, le laiton, le cuir et le métal. La gamme comprend du mobilier, des accessoires, des sculptures et des posters. Parmi les nouveautés du printemps, j'ai adoré le divan en cuir/bois, la desserte en métal, la sculpture miroirs/marbre...

LA PETITE PAPETERIE FRANCAISE

There is something extremely soothing about stationery in times where we have an online app for almost everything. The stand of La Petite Papeterie Française made me want to renew with the pleasure of writing in a beautiful notebook with a nice pen. Promoting the "slow office", they provide a great collection of creative calendars, project notebooks, pencils to customize and lots more, including organic stem tea to help you get rid of all that unnecessary stress... Slow office - a trend for 2016?

Il y a quelque chose d'extrêmement apaisant avec la papeterie dans une époque où nous avons une app en ligne pour quasiment tout. Le stand de La Petite Papeterie Française m'a donné envie de renouer avec le plaisir d'écrire dans un joli carnet avec un beau stylo. En faisant la promotion du "slow office", ils proposent une superbe collection de calendriers créatifs, des carnets à projets, des crayons à personnaliser et plein d'autres choses, y compris des infusions bio en tige pour vous aider à eliminer tout ce stress inutile... Slow office - une tendance pour 2016?
