I love any smart and aesthetic solution that makes compact living a little more livable. The furniture below, allowing for sleeping, working and resting on a very limited area, has been designed by architect Torsten Ottesjö. Brilliant, especially the wood covered bed hut. 

The Swedish design studio Form Us With Love designed the Ogle pendant lamp already ten years ago. Produced by Ateljé Lyktan and launched in 2010, the lamp has sold in thousands ever since. I can totally understand why - this has been one of my favourite lamps for years. That's also why I'm super excited to see that FUWL and Ateljé Lyktan are now launching a revisited mini-version of the pendant, coming in a die casted aluminum structure with a new lighting solution. Obviously, the Ogle Mini goes directly up on my wishlist :)

Le studio créatif suédois Form Us With Love avait conçu la suspension Ogle il y a dix ans déjà. Produite par Ateljé Lyktan et lancée en 2010, la suspension a depuis été vendue dans des milliers d'exemplaires. Je peux totalement comprendre pourquoi - c'est l'une de mes lampes préférées depuis des années. C'est aussi pourquoi je suis hyper contente d'apprendre que FUWL et Ateljé Lyktan viennent de lancer une version mini et révisitée de la suspension, avec une structure en aluminium coulé sous pression et une nouvelle solution d'éclairage. De toute évidence, l'Ogle Mini a immédiatement trouvée sa place sur ma wishlist :)

Artilleriet is a fantastic interior design shop located on the Swedish west coast, in Gothenburg. In order to celebrate 5 years of existence, they just opened Artilleriet Studio, a whole apartment decorated with the most perfect mix of old and new. The exhibition is open until 29th of October so don't miss out if ever you're visiting Gothenburg before that. And if not, here are some beautiful pictures to be inspired by, shot by Johanna Bradford (and you'll find a few more on her blog). Love the rugs, the dark walls, the brass desk, the picture wall and the velvet chairs!

If you haven't had enough of brass yet (I haven't!), here's a nice and simple idea for making your own bed headboard. Choose a large brass sheet that is slightly wider than the bed, then match with trendy muted pastels (like the green shade on the wall here) and soft textiles in linen and wool to add warmth. Si vous en avez pas encore assez du laiton (moi non!), voici une idée simple pour fabriquer une jolie tête-de-lit. On choisit une grande tôle en laiton un peu plus large que le lit, puis on l'associe à une palette tendance de pastels grisées (comme cette nuance de vert sur le mur) et des textiles douces en lin et laine pour apporter de la chaleur. I've been a big fan of Kristina Dam's design for a couple of years now and I'm so happy that my favourite Danish concept store Nordkraft in Paris has decided to exhibit her work. "From Graphics to Furniture" is a collection of furniture, small objects, sculptures and photo in beautiful materials like oak, marble, leather, glass, brass, steel... With a degree in architecture and graphic design, Kristina Dam's work has a distinct architectural and Scandinavian expression that I like very much.

Je suis une grande fan du design de Kristina Dam depuis des années et je suis ravie de voir que Nordkraft, mon concept store danois préféré à Paris, a décidé d'exhiber son travail. "From Graphics to Furniture" est une collection de mobilier, petits objets, sculptures et photos dans de beaux matériaux tels que chêne, marbre, cuir, verre, laiton, acier... Diplômée d'architecture et design graphique, le travail de Kristina Dam a une expression architecturale et scandinave prononcée que j'aime beaucoup.
