I've been a big fan of Kristina Dam's design for a couple of years now and I'm so happy that my favourite Danish concept store Nordkraft in Paris has decided to exhibit her work. "From Graphics to Furniture" is a collection of furniture, small objects, sculptures and photo in beautiful materials like oak, marble, leather, glass, brass, steel... With a degree in architecture and graphic design, Kristina Dam's work has a distinct architectural and Scandinavian expression that I like very much.

Je suis une grande fan du design de Kristina Dam depuis des années et je suis ravie de voir que Nordkraft, mon concept store danois préféré à Paris, a décidé d'exhiber son travail. "From Graphics to Furniture" est une collection de mobilier, petits objets, sculptures et photos dans de beaux matériaux tels que chêne, marbre, cuir, verre, laiton, acier... Diplômée d'architecture et design graphique, le travail de Kristina Dam a une expression architecturale et scandinave prononcée que j'aime beaucoup.

Today I'm feeling inspired by Danish photographer Ditte Isager's home and studio in Copenhagen. A personal and creative interior, just as I like it. Here you can read more details about her home and if you want to see more of Ditte's work, you'll find her beautiful portfolio here.

If you liked the pink mood board in the previous post, you'll probably like the living room in this studio flat in Stockholm. A common way of adding colour to a room is through accessorizing, but the other way around can be just as effective: a bold choice of wall colour, with furniture and accessories in neutral hues. And when you've had enough of the pink (or whatever colour you have chosen), just repaint in order to get a whole new expression and atmosphere.

Si vous avez aimé la planche d'ambiance rose du billet précédent, vous allez certainement aimer le séjour de ce studio à Stockholm. Le plus souvent on ajoute de la couleur à une pièce en accessoirissant, mais l'inverse peut être tout aussi efficace: un choix de couleur audacieux pour les murs, puis du mobilier et des accessories dans des tons neutres. Et quand on en a assez du rose (ou de la couleur qu'on a choisie), il suffit de repeindre pour obtenir une toute autre expression et ambiance.

Starting the week with this creative retro kitchen that I spotted on Ulrika's blog (thanks!). By paying close attention to details, the owners have managed to create an open, playful and inviting kitchen/dining area in this century-old apartment in Stockholm. For more pictures have a look here.

In a future life when I have loads of money, I will have a pied-à-terre like this one in Stockholm. Super optimized, the flat contains one bedroom and two sleeping lofts, a reasonably sized kitchen and living room plus built-in storage, and all this on only 50 sqm (for once I have even included the floor plan below). Perfect for meeting up with friends and family for a weekend! On top of that, it's located on Söder, my favourite area in Stockholm. For sale here.

Dans une vie future quand j'aurai des tonnes d'argent, j'aurai un pied-à-terre comme celui-ci à Stockholm. Hyper optimisé, l'appartement comprend une chambre plus deux couchages en mezzanine, une cuisine et un salon de taille tout à fait correcte et aussi des rangements intégrés, le tout sur seulement 50 m2 (pour une fois, j'ai même inclus le plan ci-dessous). Parfait pour se retrouver entre amis ou en famille le temps d'un weekend! De plus, il est situé à Söder, mon quartier préféré à Stockholm. Today's crush: the assymetrical Loop chair by Swedish studio Front for Qeeboo, a new Italian brand presenting their first collection at the fair in Milan this week (read more here).
"Just as human bodies are not symmetrical we wanted to create a chair that feels individual and allows different ways of sitting." The stackable chair is made of injection-moulded plastic with an upholstered seat. It will be sold online for under 100€. 
Plastic is not my favourite material but I could definitely make an exception for this one :)

Coup de coeur du jour: la chaise asymétrique Loop du studio suédois Front pour Qeeboo, une nouvelle marque italienne qui présente sa première collection au salon de Milan cette semaine (en savoir plus ici).
"Tout comme le corps humain n'est pas symétrique, on a voulu créer une chaise un peu personnelle qui permet de s'asseoir de différentes façons." En plastique moulée par injection, la chaise est empilable est dotée d'une assise rembourrée. Elle sera vendue en ligne pour moins de 100€. 
Le plastique n'est pas ma matière préférée, mais je veux bien faire une exception pour celle-ci :)
