When I style or create a still life, I like adding something unexpected and personal. It can be an item brought back from a trip, a gift someone once gave me or just something quirky I found in a flea market. The important is to give it all a little twist.

The owners of this home in Göteborg have added several odd and original details to their interior. Although the space is a little too cluttered for my own taste, I still find it refreshing to see and hopefully you can also find something inspiring to take with you? More photos here.

Quand je décore ou crée une mise en scène, j'essaye toujours d'y ajouter quelque chose d'inattendu et personnel. Ca peut être un objet ramené d'un voyage, un cadeau qu'on m'a offert une fois ou juste une bizarrerie trouvée dans une brocante. L'important est de donner une touche d'originalité à l'ensemble.

Les propriétaires de cet appartement à Göteborg ont ajouté plusieurs d'objets singuliers et dépareillés à leur intérieur. Même si le tout est un peu trop encombré pour mon propre goût, ca change et ca fait du bien, et peut-être vous trouverez aussi quelque chose pour vous inspirer? D'autres photos ici.

After a hectic last week which left little time for blogging unfortunately, we finally traveled up to Sweden yesterday. Now I'm just going to enjoy a week of doing nothing besides playing board games, reading books, putting on five kilos thanks to my mum's cooking and then taking long walks in the countryside trying to get rid of the same kilos.

Here comes some more beautiful Christmas inspiration... Couldn't resist this table setting by Artilleriet, a great interior design shop in Göteborg. How to create a cosy Christmas feel even in the most stripped down environment!

I still have some beautiful things to show you from our Sunny Design Days tour in Spain, so expect a few more posts here this week! In Barcelona, we were lucky to spend a night at yök Casa + Cultura, which is something like a hotel apartment but way nicer and more personal. yök is run by Petz and Mari, who have their office on the top floor of the building and can give you lots of good tips about the city (the really good addresses, not the touristic ones...). Our group shared the most charming 4 bedroom apartment, but there are also two other apartments available, both sleeping 4 persons.

Later that night, we got to enjoy a fantastic rooftop dinner together with some local designers and other creative people. The delicious dinner was prepared by Pepi de Boissieu and served on beautiful trays from Delica, a company founded in 2005 in Bera-Navarre and several times awarded for its design. Susanna and Desiree also styled some great photos with Delica's products in our apartment as you can see below.

A Barcelone, on a eu la chance de passer une nuit à yök Casa + Cultura, qui est un peu comme un hotel apartement mais en beaucoup plus sympa et personnel. yök est géré par Petz et Mari, dont le bureau se trouve au dernier étage du bâtiment, et qui peuvent vous donner plein de bonnes adresses dans la ville (les vraies bonnes adresses, pas les touristiques...). Notre groupe a partagé un charmant appartement de 4 chambres, mais on y trouve aussi deux autres appartements pour 4 personnes.

Plus tard dans la soirée, on a pu profiter d'un superbe diner sur le toit terrasse en compagnie de designers et d'autres créatifs locaux. Le délicieux diner était preparé par Pepi de Boissieu et servi sur des jolis plateaux de chez Delica, une marque fondée en 2005 à Bera-Navarre et plusieurs fois primé pour son design. Susanna et Desiree ont aussi fait des jolies mises en scènes avec les produits Delica dans notre appartement, comme vous pouvez le voir ci-dessous.


Above a picture from our rooftop dinner which was served on these nice Delica trays. Needless to say, the view over Barcelona was stunning from up there! Also, yök regularly hosts cultural events on the rooftop where guests and locals mingle together.

Last week the 20th edition of Maison & Objet took place here in Paris. As usual I spent quite a few hours strolling down the aisles, trying to get a good look at the latest design news. You've probably already seen lots of pictures from the fair on other blogs so I won't bore you with an endless article here, but just show you some of my own favourites. I'm always on the lookout for Scandinavian brands, so you will find many of those here below, but not only... Come along for a walk!
